Shardul Thakur Wiki:

Shardul Thakur is an Indian cricket player. He was born on 16th October 1991 (age 26) in Palghar in the state of Maharashtra, India. Shardul is a daring Right-arm medium-fast bowler. He is the son of Mr. Narendra Thakur.

International Debut:

Shardul was starting his international cricket career in ODI Debut 31st August 2017 against Sri Lanka. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for India against South Africa on 21st February 2018. Thakur was named in India’s 16 man squad for India test tour of West Indies in 2016, but he didn’t play.

He is also a formal player of the domestic cricket team of Maharashtra. Sardul is a fast player and once he has taken 8 wickets in the single match including great cricketer of Pujara.

IPL History:

In IPL first time he made his IPL debut against Delhi Daredevils where he took one for 38 in his 4 overs.He played in 2015 for Kings XI Punjab. In March 2017, he was acquired by the Rising Pune Supergiants for the 10th season of the IPL. In January 2018, he was bought by the Chennai Super Kings for 2.6 crores in the 2018 IPL auction. So in upcoming IPL Sardul will play for Chennai Super Kings, all CSK fans waiting for that.

Thakur made his first-class debut against Rajasthan cricket team at Jainpur in November 2012. Initially, he didn’t get a good start in his bowling, but later he has decent bowling skills. Shardul is an audacious fast bowler who mostly relies on his strength of hitting the deck hard. His biggest weapon though is swinging the new ball.

In school time, he hit 6 sixes from 6 balls in one over. In 2012–13 Ranji season, he took 27 wickets at 26.25 from six games, with one five-wicket haul. In the 2013-14 Ranji season, he took 48 wickets at 20.81 from ten games with five five-wicket hauls, which is good start his career.

Thakur became the second player to wear the no 10 Jersey next to Sachin Tendulkar that raised up various controversial comments in social media.
