Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay was one of the highest significant ladies of India. Kamaladevi was an Indian social worker and freedom fighter. She was born on 3 April 1903 in Mangalore Karnataka, British India.
Apart from social work and fight for nation she also contributes to India for handicrafts, handlooms, Natya Sangeet and many other cultural activities. We can say that she laid the foundations of music, dance, cultural events in India.
Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay fight for the nation with Nation father Mahatma Gandhi. Her contribution to Nation is unconditional. Before 1947, She fights for freedom and later got freedom she works for India in cultural as well as social awareness for India.

Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay brought up in Mangalore Karnataka. She belonged to an aristocratic family from Karnataka. She was the younger daughter of her father Ananthaya Dhareshwar who was the District Collector of Mangalore. Her mother name is Girijabai. She belongs very well educated family.
At her early age of 7, her father died. Her mother and she were alone at that time but she stands with her courage.
In 1917 at the age of 14, she married Krishna Rao but two years later he died. After that, she again married her sister friends brothers Harindranath Chattopadhyay in 1919.
